Monument Signs
Monument signs are similar in construction to our wall signs and are generally characterized as being free-standing and having a base or “pole-cover” as wide as the face of the sign. All of our monument signs are custom manufactured to meet your color and size requirements. At Midwest we offer more than just installing a big box in front of your business.
Monument signs typically come in two basic varieties, single-face and double-face. From there the sign can be illuminated or non-illuminated. A standard cabinet is constructed of an internal structural-steel frame that is welded and coated with rust proofing then skinned with #3003 aluminum sheeting. All areas that require it will be reinforced to prevent "oil-canning". The faces can be polycarbonate decorated with translucent applied vinyl or water-jet cut 1/8” aluminum backed with high-impact acrylic. Neon lighting can also be incorporated into your sign for added flair.
Our illuminated sign cabinets are manufactured and installed to Underwriter's Laboratory and National Electrical standards using UL listed components and "High Output" 800MA fluorescent lighting. What makes "High Output" fluorescents better than standard fluorescents is they light brighter and most importantly light evenly in cold weather. The fluorescent ballasts feature a two year manufacturer’s warranty.
